Forcat 2000 mini skidder
TREES horse loggers are hired by conscientious property owners to work forested areas where rutting, noise, and damaged trees are undesirable. TREES works closely with property owners to remove undesirable/dangerous trees that pose a threat to the safety and well being of family members/friends.
It is our goal to provide for a safe and satisfactory woods experience. We endeavor to establish with each client the practical goals of increasing the value and quality of the current timber stand (your investment) while removing dangerous and value depleting interlopers, that is; the dead, down, diseased, and dying trees.
In addition, all of our projects attempt to encourage the enhancement of established wildlife habitats while promoting the creation and expansion of others. We are environmentally considerate and forest friendly.
TREES horse logging allows states, municipalities and private property owners the option of opening up lands to timber harvesting that might otherwise remain closed.
You may want to consider TREES horse logging to implement your current and future forest management plan.
At TREES we are able to offer horses as a traditional option for forestry work as well as a tracked, fully hydrostatic, minimal impact, mechanized skidder called the Forcat 2000. This skidder offers some of the same benefits as the more traditional approach of horses. Both are minimally impactful in your woods, leaving a nominal footprint. When the Forcat 2000 is used in conjunction with horses (which we recommend), we are able to extract stems (product) with greater efficiency and skill. This makes it easier on the horses and helps to maintain a safer work environment.
